ABBA

ABBA had released a Spanish version of Chiquitita in 1979 which became very popular in Latin America. Then a Spanish version of I Have A Dream was recorded and released as Estoy Sonando.
Since both singles had been succesful Agnetha and Frida went into the studio to record more songs in Spanish in January 1980. Bjorn and Benny were not very interested in this project and since they were writing in Barbados they were not involved at all.
The album Gracias Por La Musica with 10 Spanish songs was released in June 1980 and was not only a huge succes in Latin countries but also in Japan.
This picture is an alternate shot of the pic that ended up on the cover of the album.
