ABBA was a studioband and they were not interested in touring. They had the talent and the voices but really did not care much for it..
In 1973 they toured through Sweden, in 1975 as well but they also went to Germany among other countries. In 1977 ABBA toured Europe and Australia, in 1979 again Europe plus the USA and Canada followed by a Japan tour in early 1980.
Although ABBA did not tour much it was Frida who loved to be on stage and that showed. She felt at ease and danced around while Agnetha was less confident.
This picture was taken during their 1979 tour. At that time ABBA had released their second Greatest Hits album (Volume 2) and were in the singles charts with Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight). An instrumental part of that song would end up on a Madonna single more than 25 years later.
ABBA's last single of the seventies would be the Frida led I Have A Dream which video was shot during this tour in the London Wembley Arena, November 1979.
